Dunes in Sandbanks Provincial Park

Sandbanks ? One of Ontario?s largest beaches, Sandbanks Provincial Park offers the perfect recreational destination. Golden soft sands and crystal clear water make this spot ideal for a number of activities such as windsurfing, sailing, swimming or just basking in the sun. The Sandbanks boasts three separate beaches, the Outlet beach, Sandbanks Beach and the Dunes Beach, one of Ontario?s finest coastal sand dune system.

North Beach ? A smaller version of the famous Sandbanks, North Beach offers similar opportunities for boating, swimming and picnicking. This is also one of the nicest spots in the County to catch a spectacular sunset over the water.

Golf

Wellington Golf Course ? This nine hole 3,500 yard course challenges all types of golfers. From short par 3?s to long ?snakelike? par 5?s, Wellington Golf Course offers a variety of majestic views and is a pleasure to play for any golf enthusiast.

Picton Golf Club ? For golfers who are looking for full 72 par championship course then Picton Golf Club is one to enjoy. Located on a perch overlooking Picton Bay, this course offers challenging holes along with majestic views?just try to stay out of the fescued rough!

Glenora Ferry from Lake on the Mountain

Lake on the Mountain ? One of Ontario?s natural wonders. Lake on the Mountain is a freshwater lake located 62m above the Bay of Quinte and has no visible water source. This memorable location offers a magnificent view overlooking the lake and surrounding countryside.

Macaulay Mountain ? This 440-acre site accommodates all types of walkers. Whether you are looking for a quiet family walk or rugged terrain for hiking, Macaulay Mountain offer it all. Also a good area for picnics, bird watching and bike trails

Birdhouse City ? This area is located at Macaulay Mountain and attracts many tourists. With over 100 birdhouses, most reproductions of noticeable historic buildings, it is an amazing site and a perfect location of bird watching

Little Bluff ? Located on the southeast edge of the County, Little Bluff is a picturesque spot for a picnic or walk. It is an 18-meter high limestone escarpment that overlooks Prince Edward Bay. On clear days you can see across to Waupoos Island

Sunset Lookout ? Living up to its name, Sunset Lookout offers a spectacular view of the sun setting behind the distant horizon of Big Island and Muscote Bay. Also a popular spot for picnics

Point Petre ? Another favoured spot for picnics, swimming and site seeing. Point Petre is the southern most point in the county with pebble beaches, limestone cliffs and many beautiful landscapes.

Vader Maple Syrup ? With bottles visible on shelves all over the county Vader?s Maple Syrup is a familiar sight, but many maple fans still prefer to visit farm shop to buy their syrup.

Honey Wagon Farms ? On a small 13acre plot behind their house they grow everything from early asparagus to autumn pumpkins, first crop of the year is maple syrup

Schroedter?s ? Kiddie corner to Huff Estates, Schroedter?s Market offers a variety of fresh foods, baked goods and prepared lunches. Also one of the only Gluten free sites in the County.
