Huff’s pinot noir from relatively young vines seems to get better with each passing vintage. The 2014 is a lovely, high-toned, classically-styled cool climate example, finely detailed and elegant, tender yet taught and firm. Tannins are very nicely managed, fine-grained and light, and the long finish is carried on ripe acids, with a vaguely soft and sweet impression. An inviting amalgam of tart red fruit, dried flowers and composted leaves lingers. Drink or hold short term. Tasted August 2016.
