Guest Services Information


For assistance at any time, you can reach the front desk by dialing 0 from the phone in your room. The front desk is staffed 24 hours a day.

Television

  • Each room is equipped with a flat screen TV and satellite television. Most rooms have two remotes, one to control power and volume, the other for channel navigation. If your room only has one remote, it has been programed to control all functions.
  • If you require assistance with your television, please contact the front desk.

Air Conditioning & Heating

  • Rooms have combined heating & air conditioning units located beside the patio door. Controls are located under a panel at the right hand side of the unit.
  • If you have difficulty setting the desired temperature for your room, please call the front desk for assistance.

Fireplace

  • Each fireplace is controlled by a switch on the wall just above the fireplace. Turn it on for instant fire.
  • If the fireplace fails to light, look for a switch inside the fireplace on the bottom left and ensure it has not been turned off. For further assistance, please call the front desk.

Whirlpool Tubs (Premiere Suites)

Before starting the whirlpool please ensure that the water level is above the jets. The on/off switch is located on the side of the tub. Please only hit the button once. The jets will turn off on their own after a set amount of time. To restart the jets, hit the button once.

Ice & Water

  • Ice is available in the freezer at the bottom of the refrigerator in the breakfast area.
  • Filtered water is available from a water cooler in the breakfast area.

Internet Access

  • Wireless internet is available throughout the building. The network is called “Huff Inn” and the password is Huff2015.
  • Guest rooms are also equipped with hard-wired internet. Ethernet cords are available to borrow from the front desk.

  • Extra towels, pillows, sheets, toilet paper, facial tissue
  • Toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, sewing kits, sewing kits, feminine hygiene products, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, body wash, soap
  • Playing cards and board games
  • Extra wine or water glasses
  • Wake up calls

Telephone

  • To make an outgoing call, lift the receiver and select an outgoing line (or simply press ‘9’)
  • Local calls are free, long distance calls will be charged to your room.
  • To call room to room, lift receiver and press “intercom” button. Dial 1, followed by the two-digit room number (ie Room 6 would be 106, Room 20 would be 120)

Wine

  • The full selection of Huff Estates wines is available for purchase from the front desk. Whites, sparklings and rosés are available chilled.

Breakfast

Our complimentary hot and cold breakfast is available each morning from 7am to 10am.

Pizza

The winery offers wood-fired pizza daily from mid May to mid October. Please check with front desk or winery staff to determine hours of operation during your stay.


Safety & Security


Your safety and the safety of your personal property is of the utmost concern to us. Your room is equipped with dead-bolt locks that only you can open from the inside. If you have any doubt about the identity of any person at your door, please contact the front desk.

  1. Chapter 223 – The Innkeepers Act, Section 4
    No Innkeeper is liable to make good to any guest of his any loss or injury to goods or property brought to his inn, to a greater amount than the sum of $40.00.
    EXCEPT

    1. Where the goods or property have been stolen, lost or injured through the willful act, default or neglect of the Innkeeper or any servant in his employ;
    2. Where the goods or property have been deposited expressly for safe custody with the Innkeeper
    3. ii) In case of such deposit, it is lawful for the Innkeeper, if he thinks fit, to require as a condition of his liability, that the goods or property shall be deposited in a box or other receptacle, fastened and sealed by the depositing party. R.S.O. 1960, C. 189, S. 4.

Caution: Unauthorized removal of hotel property or obtaining food or lodging under false pretenses is a Criminal Offence.

In Case of Fire or Emergency – dial “0” for front desk or dial 911

  • All occupants should leave the building immediately and close the door.
    Location of fire exits is posted on the door of your room.
  • Notify front desk and/or fire department
  • Keep calm. Panic is often more dangerous than the emergency itself.

Fire Prevention Rules

  • Absolutely no smoking in the building at any time.
  • When smoking outdoors, please use ashtrays and ensure all smoking materials are fully extinguished
  • Only cooking and heat producing appliances supplied with the room are permitted.

Warning: Anyone who wilfully damages or renders fire protection equipment inoperative is guilty of a Criminal Offence – Ministry of the Solicitor General, Office of the Fire Marshall
